Moves

Make a Move every day with a piece you have staked. Every Move burns tokens and puts you in this week's pot: half of every trading fee, shared by the players who moved.

Daily Move
♟ ♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ ♚

One Move a day with a piece you have staked. Each Move burns a little tokens and adds to your weight in this week's pot.

Weekly pot
ETH + tokens

A share of every trading fee, split between the players who moved that week, by weight. Rarer pieces weigh more.

Monthly pot
4 of 4 weeks

Move every week of the month and share the bigger monthly pot. A monthly pass makes your daily Move for you.

How Moves work
One Move a day, with a piece you have staked

Each piece type has its own Move, and you can make it as soon as that piece is staked. Rarer pieces weigh more: Pawn ×1, Knight and Bishop ×1.1, Rook ×1.2, Queen ×1.35, King ×1.5.

Every Move burns tokens

The price grows with your staked score, from about $0.10 to $1 a week of daily Moves. Pay with tokens (burned) or ETH (we buy tokens with it and burn it). Up to 2 extra Moves a day at 2× and 4× the price, if the pot is worth it.

The weekly pot

Half of every trading fee goes to the pots: a third to this week, two thirds to this month. Plus tokens every week. The week's pot is shared by everyone who moved, by the weight of their Moves.

The monthly pot

Make at least one Move in each of the 4 weeks of a month and you share the bigger monthly pot. A monthly pass makes your daily Move for you for 28 days (28 Moves + 10%). Every day in a row adds +5% pot weight, up to +30%; miss a day and it starts over.

Claiming

A week's pot opens when the week ends; a month's a week after the month ends. Claim within 30 days, or your share goes to the next pot. Unstake before claiming and that share is gone. If a Position of yours is under 24 hours old, the claim waits until it isn't, so you never get less for restaking.

Why it can't be gamed

One Move a day (plus 2 pricey extras), staked pieces only, prices from the 1-hour average price. Splitting pieces over wallets lowers your score, so it never pays, and a set of NFTs plays once a day, in whichever wallet holds it.
